Bayonetta Steam

PlatinumGames has released the first patch for the PC version of Bayonetta. And to be honest, we were a bit surprised as we were expecting PlatinumGames to release a patch for NieR: Automata, a game that suffers from major issues, before issuing a patch for Bayonetta.

But anyway, this patch fixes the MSAA option, fixes an issue with excessive Steam client CPU usage, adjusts Steam Cloud implementation, and adds the ability to disable black borders in aspect ratios other than 16:9.

Includes 2 items: Bayonetta, Vanquish. Full Steam Support - Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud Save, Trading Cards, Leader Boards, and Big Picture Mode. Enhanced PC Graphics Options - Unlocked resolutions up to 4K, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, SSAO lighting, scalable texture and shadow quality, and more. The issue you were having while playing Bayonetta should be resolved. Disable Steam Overlay. Another tweak to the system evolved around the Steam Overlay feature which can be interfering with Bayonetta. Use these quick step-by-step instructions to access the control panel for Steam Overlay and disable it. Run the game on.

As the team noted:

“Bayonetta was originally designed to a 16:9 aspect ratio only, and as such, certain UI elements will be distorted with this lock disabled; for example, the book that appears before boss fights may appear off-centre, etc.
